Kidd Family Dr. Amos Kidd was born near Marietta, in 1827. His father, Amos Kidd, married Keziah Roberts. He was from Greene County Pennsylvania, and she from Loudoun County, Virginia. In later life, they came to Jackson County, and died there. Dr. Kidd studied medicine at Sterling Medical College. He came to Ravenswood in 1863, and practiced there for some years, then practiced at Ripley until his death. He married Mary Dorman. Dr. W.W. Kidd, of Ripley, is their son.
