    1. Beverlin Civil War Information
    2. Looking for service information on a Grandville Beverlin who was born circa 1840-41, & maybe in Marion County, VA/WV. According to information I have gathered from family members, he was mustered in at Ravenswood, VA/WV in 1861, was wounded-in-action (battle unknown), lost a leg & was mustered out in November of 1864. I have also been told that he was a private in the 11th &/or 4th regiments. I don't know if that's infantry, cavalry or artillery. Also am unsure whether he served in a VA or WV outfit. He was living in the Kanawha County, WV area from 1883-1890 & his wife was Perinilla Elizabeth Beverlin (unsure of maiden name.) Thank you in advance for any information. Sincerely, Mike Peters [email protected]

    3. Click on the my site on the 11th WV Infantry. It will give you much information on the 11th. Be sure to see the Company rosters and cemetery records. I have a David and a Granville Beverlin in Company B roster (listed in the Discharged section) He apparently served 3 years (Oct. 26, 1861 - Nov 11, 1864) in the 11th. David was discharged for a disability. I show Granville buried in the Good Cemetery, Kenna, Jackson County, West Virginia. His date of death being Nov 17, 1888. I am still sorting through many records not posted on the web site as of yet. I would suggest you write the NARA for his pension records for his disability (I would love to get copies of) making sure you list his Company B, 11th Regiment West Virginia Volunteer Infantry.
