This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/WCC.2ACE/4257.1 Message Board Post: Have you tried writing to the West Virginia Archives? They may be able to find more information for you. You have all the names & dates & places. Everyone loves a good mystery. Surely you'd be able to get someone at the archives interested. http://www.wvculture.org/history/wvsamenu.html "The Archives will not answer e-mail research requests. All research requests must be submitted in writing to the Archives and History Library; The Cultural Center; 1900 Kanawha Boulevard, E.; Charleston, WV 25305-0300. Requests from outside West Virginia must be accompanied by a $15 research fee; a $5 research fee must accompany in-state requests (checks made payable to Division of Culture and History). Please read the Archives' listing of services available for more details on research correspondence." Newspapers from that time period are hard to come by, but a murder might just be mentioned in neighboring counties or over the river in Ohio. I subscribe to NewspaperArchives.com and I will do some searching and see what comes up.
