Hello List Members, I am hoping that some kind person will be able to help me with a search for a newspaper article that may have appeared in the local newspaper in Jackson County on or shortly after 28 April 1917. The article concerns the untimely death of my ancestor, William Henry BAKER. The tragic demise of BAKER took place in Cabell County but BAKER's remains were sent back to Mason County for burial. The Mason County archived newspapers for 1917 are missing in the Point Pleasant Library and the Point Pleasant Register (newspaper) only keeps microfilmed copies for two years. I am searching for the name of the funeral home that would have been in business in Mason County at the time who would have handled the necessary arrangements as well as the burial location/cemetery.
