Hi Ellen, First did you look at the 1840 Jackson County census for Daniel and Margaret? It is often overlooked that Jackson County was formed in 1831 and about one third of it was taken from Mason County. I have several ancestors who were listed in Mason County census up through 1830 and then in Jackson County from 1840 on without moving from their original locations. Also I will print out a copy of your email and take to work with me. Ron Morgan works the same job as me but on a different shift. He does have quite a bit of information on the Morgan family.
