I do not know whom this particular email posting was directed to or who posted the original information stating that Jesse SLAUGHTER's parents were Moses & Nancy SLAUGHTER (SLAWTER). I have no knowledge on this point. I do know that Moses SLAUGHTER married Nancy nee PARSONS (born ca. 1775) on 5 October 1796 in Randolph Co., VA I have an interest in the SLAUGHTER family specifically the above Moses & Nancy SLAUGHTER; the parents of Abraham SLAUGHTER born 5 January 1797 VA. This Abraham SLAUGHTER m. Delilah (nee BIBBEE b. ca. 1811) on 12 March 1832 in Jackson County. Contrary to the information mentioned in the posting below, I believe the Jesse SLAUGHTER (b. ca. 1763 per Jackson Co. Pioneer's website database) who married Mary "Polly" ROLLINS (b. ca. 1773) to have been of the same generation as Moses SLAUGHTER, perhaps Moses's brother or cousin, rather than Moses SLAUGHTER'S son.
