A couple of years ago I got an opportunity to make a quick pass through Jackson. I got a little research done but not what was needed to be done. Anyway, I have a copy of the death register in Jackson County for 1879. On this page it shows places of death in Ravenswood, Pond Creek, Ohio River, Savoy etc. I just got the death register back out to look at it and I would swear it says Savoy BUT now that I have corresponded with you, and I look at it again, it may say Sandy. The "d" definitely looks like an "o" but as with everyone's writing you have to get use to their style. Now if it does say Sandy...that makes MUCH more sense to me. I am sorry for the confusion BUT in the process I may have cleared something up in my research. Does Sandy make more sense to you?
