Earl C. Boyce, age 86, of Rockport, WV, died July 4, 2001, at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, WV. He was born in Akron, Ohio, on September 6, 1914, a son of the late Charlie and Ettie M. Thompson Boyce. He was a retired Sheers Operator for Walker Systems and a protestant by faith. He is survived by a son, Dewain Boyce, Sandyville, WV; 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Lawrence Boyce and Truman Boyce, both of Elizabeth, WV, and Charles Boyce, Rockport, WV; 4 sisters, Opal Miihlbach, Parkersburg, WV, Garnet Thomas, Sandyville, Lillie Gates, Rockport, WV, and Faye Hanson, Coolville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ethel, 1 brother and 1 sister. Services were held on Saturday, July 7, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Matt Robinson officiating. Burial followed in Ravenswood Cemetery. Visitation was held on Friday, July 6, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday, July 7, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
