Hello. I'm asking again (once/year) about anyone knowing about the NEAL Plantation in Jackson Co., that I think straddled the Kanawha/Jackson Co. boarder near the southern tip of Jackson. It was purchased in 1842 by Thomas HUFFMAN and his Son John Stuart. The Property was four acres and most was sold to a Mr. BURGESS in 1852/53 in Jackson after a transfer document was signed by all of the deceased Thomas' Children, giving all the land to Margaret, Thomas' Wife. A Mr. Middleton was mentioned in the land transfer document, who we feel was a land speculator that was involved with the land in some fashion (perhaps paying LT on the property since Thomas and John Stuart didn't in either Jackson or Kanawha from 1842 - 1852. We cannot find a deed for the property under the HUFFMAN's names and that might be because of the land tax situation, or the deed not be recorded. Thank you for any info. With regards, Tim Spradling, GGG Grandchild of Thomas & Margaret Lemon HUFFMAN.
