    2. Betty, What connection/information do you have on the BOYER line. ...I am trying to locate who my great-grandfather's parents/siblings were. Solomon Jackson BOYER was born December 1862 in Vinton County Ohio. His family moved to Mason County West Virginia when he was five. He lived there until 1884, at which time he married Eliza Emaline Donohew in Jackson County West Virginia. They had 8 children. He died October 20, 1947 in Cottageville, West Virginia. I was able to find him listed on an 1870 Mason County Census with who I believe MAY be his father (Abraham BOYER). I was able to find a marriage record listing for a Hannah BOYER (believe she may be his sister) for 1870 to a DeWeese. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

    3. Hannah Bowyer (Boyer) was married to Winfield Scott Dewees, the son of Isaac Updegrove Dewees. Winfield was a veteran of the 7th WV Cav (Union) during the Civil War and was married three times: (1) Mary E. Hays (April 28, 1868) (2) Nancy J.
