He was born in Mahan, WV, on March 6, 1935, a son of the late Rex H. and Grace Jane Graley Taylor. He was a Millwright at the LTV Steel Mill and a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Ravenswood. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lafferty Taylor, Cottageville, WV; children, Johnathan Scott Taylor and wife Annette, Ohio; Mark Anthony Taylor, Ohio; Cynthia Denise Heiser, Ohio; and Nathan Taylor, Cottageville, WV; grandchildren, Samuel Taylor, Beth Taylor, Andrew Taylor, and Nathan Heiser; great grandchildren, Adam Singer and Felisha Singer; sisters, Thelma Pozzie, Oak Hill, WV; Mary Lou Sparkman, Crown Hill, WV; Rosalee Withrow, Chesapeake, WV; and Alice Fisher, Chelyan, WV; brother, George Taylor, Crown Hill, WV. Services were held on Wednesday, September 26, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial followed in Montgomery Memorial Park, London, WV, with graveside military rites provided by Gauley Bridge VFW Post #8366. Visiation was held on Tuesday, September 25, 2001, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
