She was born in Wilding, WV, on January 12, 1926, a daughter of the late Emmett McGarrett and Mary Elizabeth Baker Patterson. She was a housewife and an LPN in nursing. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Ravenswood, the Circle of Blessing, and the choir at the church. She is survived by her brother, Warren Patterson, Wilding, WV; sister, Betty Wilkinson, Eastwood, WV; children: Carolyn and Paul Eisenhower of Ravenswood; Rosalee and Paul Staats of Ravenswood; Mike and Karla Spear of Sandyville; and Pamela and Andrew Salsbury of Vienna, WV; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Preston Patterson, Richard Patterson, Bobby Patterson; sister, Kathleen Hafer; 2 husbands, Charles F. Spear and Erwin M. Adams, Jr.; grandchildren, Kevin James Eisenhower and Jennifer Lynn Staats. Services were held on Tuesday, September 18, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church, Ravenswood, with Rev. Fred Basnett officiating. Burial followed in Wilding Cemetery. Visitation was held on Monday, September 17, 2001, from 1:00 to 3:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Roush Funeral Home.
