Posted on: Jackson County, WV Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/WV/Jackson/12094 Surname: FOX, SAYRE, ANKRUM ------------------------- To get to Foster Chapel, Jackson County: If you are coming into from Ripley/I-77, you would likely want to turn West/left on Rt. 33 and go about a mile to Parchment Valley Road (turns left past the AEP office, across from the State Police headquarters). Follow that about 3 miles to where it comes onto Parchment Creek (you will see a wooden bridge to the right, toward Evans). You want to turn left and go about a half mile to Foster Ridge/Round Knob Road on the right. You will follow this road about a half mile and one fork runs into the valley to the right and one bears up the hill (Foster Ridge) where you want to go. You will follow this about 2 or 3 miles ("country" miles, that is) until you reach the top of the hill. Foster Chapel will be on the left and I think you can see it from the main Foster Ridge road. There may be an easier way to get there, but this was the only passable road the last time I was there (a couple of years ago). Hope this helps.
