She was born on December 6, 1916, in Ravenswood, a daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Rardin Roush. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Ravenswood. Surviving are her sons, Ron Allen and his wife Tammy, St. Marys,WV; and Tom Allen and his wife Suzi, New Martinsville, WV; daughters, Margie Seymour, Liberty, NC; and Donna Smith, Ravenswood; brothers, Olin Roush and wife Laura, Ravenswood; and Ken Roush and wife Peg, Williamstown, WV; granddaughter raised as a daughter, Valerie Verona; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Doniver; sister, Virginia; and brother, Vernon. Services were held on Thursday, September 1, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Reverend Dr. Mark J. Siers and Pastor Rick Garavaglia officiating. Burial followed in Ravenswood Cemetery. Friends visited the family at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 31, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and one hour prior to service on Thursday.
