She was born on December 29, 1946, in Strange Creek, WV, in Braxton County, daughter of the late Bernell and Marjorie Moore Baughman. She was an office manager at I-77 Ford, and a member of the Ripley Baptist Temple Church. Surviving is her husband, John Brubaker, Ripley; sons, Jason Philyaw, Coal Grove, WV; and Bryan Philyaw and his wife Billi Jo, Given, WV; 3 grandchildren, Kody, Kailey and Jaydon; sister, Linda Philyaw, Ravenswood; and a brother, James Baughman, Beverly, Ohio. Services were held on Sunday, April 17, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ripley Baptist Temple, with Reverend Rick Perrine officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Ripley.
