He was born May 11, 1962 in Ripley, a son of the late Gerald Eugene and Betty Lou (Scarberry) Gandee. He was a self-employed commercial and residential painter, and member of the painters union. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Green Hills Country Club, and attended the Sandyville United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Charlotte (Coffman) Gandee; brothers, Jerry (Jima) Gandee, and Gary Gandee all of Ripley; sisters, Beverly (Paul) Steele of Ripley, Barbara (Johnny) Starcher of Sandyville, and Brenda (Everett) Wiles of Parker, TX; nephews, Matt Fridley, Jerod Gandee, Joshua Rhodes, and Aaron Wiles. Service was held 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at the Sandyville United Methodist Church, Sandyville, with the Rev. Steve Rhoades officiating. Burial followed in the Fairplain Cemetery. Visitation was from 2 – 4 and 6 – 9 p.m. Monday at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, and 1 hour prior to service at the church.
