She was born December 12, 1920, in Turner, WV, a daughter of the late Roy Worth and Della Florence (Samples) Mick. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church of Ravenswood, where she was also a member of the Friendship Club. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, David and Teresa McCartney of Ravenswood and Don and Nancy McCartney of Ravenswood, brother, Roy Mick of Clendenin, sister, Geneva Canterbury of Ripley, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Russell McCartney, a brother, Robert Mick, and a sister, Genevieve King. Funeral services was on Sunday, February 13, 2005­2:00 p.m., at Heaston Ridge United Methodist Church, Rock Cave, WV, with the Rev. David Jesse officiating. Burial followed in the Heaston Ridge Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, at Casto Funeral Home, Ravenswood, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
