Lent, 78, of Ravenswood, WV, departed this life on April 9, 2005, at Ravenswood Village Center, Ravenswood, WV. He was born on May 19, 1926, in Leroy, WV, son of the late Ed and Sadie VanFossen Lent. He was a self-employed farmer, was employed at Ravenswood Cemetery for many years, and he loved to hunt. Surviving is his son, Douglas Lent and his wife May, Ravenswood; 5 grandchildren, Robert, Michael, Jeremy, Mary, and Shawn; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Paugh, Akron, OH, and Pearl Allen, Mogodore, OH; and a brother, John Lent, Barberton, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Bertha in 1995, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Services were held on Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Reverend Fred Basnett officiating. Burial followed in Ravenswood Cemetery.
