Matics, 93, of Ravenswood, WV, departed this life on March 22, 2005, at Eldercare of Ripley, WV. She was born on September 27, 1911, in Sherman, WV, daughter of the late David Everett and Ida Cordellia Horner Wade. She was a homemaker and a member of the Independent United Brethren Church in Ravenswood. Surviving are her sons, William E. Matics and his wife Eileen, Ravenswood; Robert L. Matics and his wife Wanda, Williamstown, WV; sister, Kathryn Ihle, Ravenswood; brother, Donald Ray and his wife Ada, Ravenswood; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband W. G.; son, Edward; granddaughter, Kathy; and grandson, Bret. Services were held on Friday, March 25, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Reverend Anton Hager officiating. Burial followed in Ravenswood Cemetery. Friends visited the funeral home on Thursday, March 24, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friends may express their condolences to the Matics family at [email protected]
