Merry Anne: Good to hear from you. "19 miles north of Charleston" could put you in Jackson County, but not as far as Ripley. Since Ripley & Ravenswood were/are the main towns of Jackson County, maybe it was a case of which one it was closer to -- an area thing. Sorry, but I have heard nothing re: the Cotterill grave yard.
