Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/WCC.2ACE/4125.1.1.1.2.1 Message Board Post: the pond creek cemetery has been inventoried. please use yahoo search engine to find "wood county wv genealogy". then scroll down to the topics and click on "cemeteries". you can then find Flinn graveyard #4. there is another flinn cemetery about 8 miles to the south in jackson co. wv on little sandy creek about 4 or 5 miles east of sherman , wv . this is at the geographic coordinates provided by the other folks . you can plug these coordinates into a site called "TERRASERVER" and view a satellite photo of the locale. the Flinns seem to have settled on the jackson-wood county line the spread both directions over the years, north into wood co. and south into jackson co. we're still talking just spittin' distance however. i'll be in wv during march to visit my dad who lives close enough to sling a cat there ( hillbilly slang) no offense to our cat friends. i'll do my best to find and walk the jackson co. flinn cemetery. if he's there i'll get a photo and rubbing of th! e stone. if you can find the wood co. wv genealogy site please check out other belleville and lubeck cemeteries. there are numerous Buckleys to be found there. we WILL find your grandpa. i'll also be back there for memorial day and can search again if necessary. my grandfather was a friend of jess flinn ( i met him too) who was born in the early 1900"s.
Flinn and Jackson Co. is familiar to me. My son was married to a great woman, Kimberly Flinn. Her dad is from Jackson Co.
