She was born November 6, 1906 in Gay, a daughter of the late Isaac and Paulanna (Southall) Litton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Arthur Mahood; sons, Edward A. Mahood, Sr., and Gerald Mahood; brothers, Bus Litton and Emory Litton; sisters, Madge Parsons and Jessie Stalnaker. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Surviving are sons, Byron Mahood, and Vernon Mahood both of Gay; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. Service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 24, 2004 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with the Rev. Darrell Tackett officiating. Burial followed in the Mahood Family Cemetery, Gay. Visitation was from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
