She was born on November 9, 1931, in Mason County, WV, daughter of the late Thad and Opal Jones Martin. She was a homemaker and a member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Ravenswood. Surviving is her spouse of 54 years, Harry Ray Unrue, Ravenswood; children, Karen Fashandi and husband Mohsen, Chicago, IL; David Ray Unrue, Charleston, WV; Janis Tennant and husband Michael, Ravenswood; and Martin Unrue and wife Rosalie, Wilding, WV; grandchildren, Jason, Bradley, Kurt, Jordan, Michelle, and Alex; sister, Reba Thomas, Chattanooga, Tenn; and brother, Thomas Martin, Nitro, WV; In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Martin. Services were held on Monday, February 21, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood; with Pastor George Weirick officiating. Burial followed in Ravenswood Cemetery. Friends visited the funeral home on Sunday, February 20, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association National Office, 225 N.
