She was born April 12, 1936 in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late Thomas Raywood and Roxie Jane (Watts) Armstrong. She was also preceded in death by her husband Emory Ramsey and an infant brother. She was a retired millwright from Ravenswood Aluminum, and member of the United Steelworkers Union #5668. She was a member and current vice-president of the Jackson County Creative Quilters Guild, enjoyed league bowling at Raven Lanes in Ravenswood and was a protestant. Surviving are two sons, Wayne Ramsey of Cottageville, and Russ Ramsey of Letart; daughter, Suzann Nowlin of Cottageville; sisters, Mary Ellen Brown of Norfolk, VA, and Mima Lucy Chapman of Charleston; 4 grandchildren. Service were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with the Rev. Allen Stewart officiating. Burial followed in the Ramsey Family Cemetery, Cottageville. An additional graveside memorial service will be held later at the convenience of the family. Visitation were held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
