Elizabeth Selena "Lena" Ayers, age 76, of Ravenswood, WV, died July 22, 2001, at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, WV. She was born in Jackson County, WV, on June 10, 1925, a daughter of the late Lee and Maude Parsons Hinzman. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her daughters, Karen M. Boyd, Nancy Ayers and Gloria Conley, all of Ravenswood, WV; a sister, Della Mae Herdman, Wheelersburg, Ohio; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was prececed in death by her parents; husband, Joseph E. Ayers, three children, Brenda, David and Ronnie; and one brother, James A Hinzman. Services were held on Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at 2:30 p.m. at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Reverend Paul Morrison officiating. Burial followed in Independence Cemetery, Sandyville, WV. Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 24, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
