Ann Elena Howard Ervin Buckley, age 78, of Coolville, Ohio, died July 25, 2001, at CAMC General Division, Charleston, WV. She was born in Wilding, WV, on May 14, 1923, a daughter of the late Harry R. and Zella Mae Hupp Howard. She was a member of the Fellowship Chapel Church, Little Hocking, Ohio; and she graduated from Ravenswood High School in 1941. She was a Cosmetologist for 25 years and from 1981 to 1986, she was a Social Worker with domestic violence cases at the YWCA Shelter in Charleston, WV. She is survived by her husband, Gilbert Buckley, Coolville, Ohio; children, Nancy Scarberry, South Charleston, WV; Rodney Ervin, Pound, VA; Linda Brogan, Ravenswood, WV; and Patty Hoffer, Parker, Colorado; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; and a brother, Ray Howard, Ravenswood, WV. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Paul Baxter Ervin; sister, Mary Smith; and a brother, Robert Howard. Services were held on Sunday, July 29, 2001, at 1:00 p.m. at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, WV, with Evangelist William Ahart officiating. Burial followed in Ravenswood Cemetery. Visitation was held on Saturday, July 28, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
