My great grandmothers name was Julia Clara Tanner ,great grandfathers name was James Trueman,both of Uk. They had a daughter Elsie Ellen Trueman,born 1896 she had my father Harold Denis Trueman in 1920 in UK who was fostered out at 4 weeks old to the Ferris Family ( friends of Julia). I believe that Elsie Ellen may have gone over seas given that there is no marriage or death cert. in UK for her. Also that one of dads foster sisters (who was only very young at the time )remembers seeing a lady and a soldier from another country pacing the footpath and trying to see my father,but was not allowed inside the house for some reason.Seeing that it was just after WW1 as well. The soldier may have been serving his time out before returning to his country. Elsie may have gone with him??
