Billy Robert Ghee, age 65, of Sandyville, WV, died July 22, 2001, at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, WV. He was born in Clay County, WV, on December 26, 1935, a son of the late Morris and Elva Gray Ghee. He was a laborer; a Christian and attended the Union Chapel United Methodist Church. He loved to praise God through his music. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and playing the guitar. He enjoyed golfing with his brother and brother-in-law. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Doris Thomas Ghee, Sandyville, WV; sons, Will Ghee, Sandyville; Mike and Sheri Ghee, Sandyville; and Matt and Lois Ghee, Catawba, NC; daughters, Barbara and Bill Ferrebee, Sandyville, and Rosemary and Bruce Somerville, Palestine, WV; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Willard and Johnny Ghee, both of Indore, WV; and Tom Ghee, Mineral City, Ohio; sisters, Virginia Price, Indore, WV; Catherine Fitzwater, Ravenswood, and Shirley Hafer, Fairborne, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Elva Ghee, Indore, WV; and sisters, Ida Davis and Mary Hafer. Services were held on Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Dennis Heater and John Price officiating. Burial followed at Union Chapel Cemetery, Windy Ridge, in Wirt County, WV. Visitaiton was held on Tuesday, July 24, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
