The Herdman I knew as a small child was "Curly" Herdman. He was a fine singer, played the guitar did some traveling as an entertainer appear on stage at York, Penn. where I saw him in the late 40's. His folks lived on Cow Run also. My mother was born on Cow Run, I was born in Cottageville, and now live in Texas. I'm trying to do the Flower's line as my 3rd G. Grandmother was Dianna (Flowers) Lewis that married William Lewis (of (the Gen. Andrew Lewis line) Diana's mother was Mary Hall, that married Thomas flowers. (c. 1821?) Mary (Hall)Flowers was the daughter of Joseph Hall that came to Warth's Bottom, Jackson Co. VA. c. 1802 now WV. Believe he was from England. I wish I could remember how I was related to "Curly" Herdman think I was like a 3rd cousin,?? but I have forgotten what my dad told me, Dad was born Evans. I guess, to many years have slipped away for meto recall a lot. Just wonder what else you might know about the Flower family.
