If you go to Yahoo and punch it in as Mudsock, Wv you'll find a few items. There's also a couple of towns in Ohio by the same name. Also tells how the name came about. It is now Mt. Alto. I remember all the Mt. Alto kids in high school called it Mudsock. If you go to ROOTSWEB and punch in Homer Lloyd you'll get 70 guys listed. See 2nd page of those names. That site seems to confirm he descended from Thomas Lloyd and Anna Yardley. Found William Lloyd 1816- 1905 buried in Hopewell Baptist Cemetery half a mile south of Mt. Alto nay Mudsock on rt. 87/1. Sorry if all this is old news but it was enjoyable looking it up. I believe we may have looked for these gentlemen about three years ago.
