Smith, 77, of Ravenswood, WV, departed this life on July 18, 2005, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg, WV. He was born on October 3, 1927, in Ravenswood, WV, a son of the late Clayton Thomas "Chump" Smith and Loucretia Irene Davis Smith. Cecil graduated from Ravenswood High School in 1945. He was a member of the North United Methodist Church in Ravenswood, and a member of the Steelworkers Local Union 5668. He loved camping. Surviving is his wife, Beulah Mae Rawson Smith, Ravenswood; daughter, Carol Lee Epling, Madison, WV; son, Glen V. Smith, Charleston, WV; grandchildren, Jimmy Hurst, SC; Michael Smith and Timmy Smith, Charleston; 2 great grandchildren, Zachary and Zoe Hurst, SC; brother, Gene V. Smith, Ravenswood; and sister, Loretta Howard, Ravenswood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Pease; and brother, Dean Clayton Smith. Services were held on Thursday, July 21, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, WV, with Reverend Darrell Johnson officiating. Burial followed in Ravenswood Cemetery.
