Francis, 77, of Leroy, WV, departed this life on June 13, 2005, at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, WV. He was born on May 12, 1928, in Jackson County, WV, a son of the late Hubert and Florelle Brown Francis. He was a retired school bus driver for the Jackson County Board of Education; a former employee of Kaiser Aluminum in Ravenswood; a former employee of Union Insulating of Parkersburg, WV; and a lifelong farmer. Surviving are his sons, Stephen Francis and his wife Sharon, John Francis and his wife Irene, and Paul Francis and his wife Cinda, all of Leroy, WV; 2 brothers, Mart Francis, Parkersburg, WV; and Lee Francis, Cummings, GA; grandsons, Patrick and Andrew Francis; granddaughter, Phala Francis; and 2 step-granddaughters, Christina French and Cynthia Westfall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene White Francis. Services were held on Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at 11:30 a.m. at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Reverend James Epling officiating. Burial followed in Meadowdale Cemetery in Leroy. Friends visited the funeral home on Tuesday, June 14, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friends may email their condolences to the Francis family at [email protected]
