He was born on January 9, 1930, in Ravenswood, son of the late William Robert and Sarah Jane Heater Dow. He was a member of the Ravenswood Church of Christ, and was retired from Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corp. in Ravenswood as a clerical worker. Surviving is his wife, Edith Lamp Dow, Ravenswood; son, Matthew Kirk Dow, Red House, WV; daughter, Kelly Brown, Pittsboro, NC; and 7 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mark David Dow, and a sister, Josephine Huffman. Services were held on Sunday, June 26, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Brother Ben Jones officiating. Burial followed in Ravenswood Cemetery.
