Noah was born on October 21, 1986, in Morris, Illinois, a son of John and Linda Mahorn Pfost. He was a member of the Independent Fellowship Church in Ravenswood. He was a 2005 graduate of Ravenswood High School, where he was a member of the track and football teams, and he attended Boys State. He would have been attending West Virginia University this fall where he would have studied Forensic Science, and had been accepted in the Honors Program. He had planned to apply to medical school. Surviving are his parents, John and Linda Mahorn Pfost, Ravenswood; sister, Cortney Pfost, at home; 2 brothers, John II, Winston-Salem, NC, and Jeremy, Charleston, WV; paternal grandparents, Dr. John and Rachel Pfost, Charleston; maternal grandfather, Mel Mahorn, Ravenswood. He will be sadly missed by his family and church family, and a host of many friends. He was an outstanding young Christian man. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Maudie Mahorn. Services were held on Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at the Independent Fellowship Church in Ravenswood, with Pastor Allen Stewart officiating. Burial followed in Ravenswood Cemetery.
