King. Iredell was born 1804 in North Carolina, married Nancy Elizabeth Hughes the daughter of Jesse Hughes Jr. Kids were Samantha b. 1836, James 1839 John 1839, Ben 1845, George 1850, and Sophrenia 1842. Obit says James died in 1922 at age 82. He was a Union soldier in the War Between the States. Says his son Ben died before Dad in "the prime of his manhood". If you're not familiar with Jesse Hughes punch him into Yahoo or see the Jackson gen page or WV history sites. He was quite a guy. Recently found out he's my multiple gr-gr-gr uncle. 3. Oops! I must have missed the original post about Coleman Williamson. I have him as a son of Samuel and Sydney (Reger) Williamson. Coleman was b. in Madison Co., IN. Per my memory, I think the rest of his siblings were born in Virginia (Wood Co.) and in Washington Co., OH. Coleman Williamson married Lucinda Smith, dau of James (middle name Edward?) Smith and Agnes Bailey. Married 4 June 1853 in Wood Co. They had children Robert C., Martha, Hulda A. Coleman Williamson died 5 Apr 1896 and his wife died in 1873. I don't know if he remarried. I had not found that website previously. My husband and I were traveling and just got home yesterday. Needless to say...I was excited to get back to my genealogy. I have been trying to identify a possible burying site for my ggg grandfather who lived for quite some time in Jackson Co and eventually died there. His name was Samuel Bell. He was first married to Annie Deem. She died in Ritchie Co. They had about 10 children. He then married Artemesia Lane/Layne. He and Artemesia had 4 children. When Samuel died Artemesia married Strother Cook. I know Samuel died in Sandy (according to the death certificate) in July of 1879 but I have not been able to find a burial site. I realize that there may not have been a tombstone or if there was one, it may not be readable today. I have also tried to find burial sites for some of their children. Benjamin Franklin Bell (wife Elizabeth Brannon)died in August 1881 in Pond Creek. Nathaniel Bell (wife Hannah Elizabeth Hughes) died August 1873 in Jackson Co. Silas Bell (wife Valerie Balleuse)died June 1905 and I believe is buried in Blaine Memorial Cemetery. Elizabeth Bell married WD or John Vannest and was living in 1880 in Ripley, Jackson Co but I have no further information on her. Clarence Bell (wife Valeria Vannoy) was still living in Ravenswood, Jackson Co in the 1920 census. I also know that Samuel's second wife, Artemesia, was still living in Ravenswood in 1880 (she was then Artemesia Strother) and she was 76 years old. So...maybe Samuel is buried with his first wife, Annie. Maybe he is buried where his second wife is buried. Maybe, maybe, maybe I just don't know!!! Please stay in touch if you have further information on any of this family. You can also contact me direct at msmjcox@kconline.com Thanks again...Mary Jo Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Went to ROOTSWEB, they had who I think is him ( or he ). born 1831 Wood co., died 1896. Parents were Samuel and Sidney Reger Williamson. Sam 1786-1870 is buried in the Williamson-Staats cem. They had 15 kids with the later ones born at Belleville. Included are James and William and those names seem to reappear in this family. Rootsweb takes the pedigree back to the 1600's in Scotland. Concerning Ms. Reger you may find info on the Lewis co. WV gen page or DON NORMAN FILES. Reger is an oft-mentioned named in the lewis co., Hackers Creek, and Jane Lew history. An extremely great deal of Ohio valley settlers came through Lewis co. as it seems to have been a well fortified area. Could not resist that word "clue". Also, I've not given up on "Picklebean". I saw it on an old map a year or two ago and learn a little more about one thing or another every time I look for it. 3. Jackson County was formed in 1831 and it is still the same county, even though the state split off from Virginia. There is no reason for a separate site for it before WV became a state - can you imagine the confusion, not to mention how much research would be duplicated? It's bad enough to try to figure out which county someone lived in when new counties were formed! Which Thomas Lloyd? Do you have dates, wife, children, etc?
