    1. Re: [WVJACKSO] Family of Pearle Thompson born 12/25/1892
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: ploverrover Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.westvirginia.counties.jackson/6638.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Found a couple of "maybes" which might provide a new lead or jog a memory in a reader: the Jackson Co. gen page , under section WV DIV OF CULTURE AND HISTORY has death certificates for Isaac and Cynthia. Both buried in Ravenswood Cem. Informants on these documents were Thompsons , Clarence and Elzae. Given that Pearle's parents lived long lives, these guys could be their sons. I studied all the Thompsons listed in Jackson Co. death records. Couple of things to consider: Isaac's Dad was Albert. who was also listed on another certificate as being the Dad of Thurman Leroy Thompson who was 3 years older than Isaac. A brother perhaps. Looking at certificates of women married to Thompsons we find guys named Lindsey and Henry who are the right ages to possibly be brothers or cousins to Pearle. Your Isaac was born 1863, seems to have lived in northern Jackson Co. One can also find another Isaac Thompson from that area who was born in 1822. The certificates list a survivin! g spouse named Pearl Thompson ( no E on the end ) The age suggests a possibility of being an Aunt. Lastly, Dr. Paul Starkey's name shows up on most of these Thompson records. He took care of a lot of the northern Jackson people. Sorry I didn't get more positive, specific info but we may have some possibilities and narrowed the geography down a bit. Best of luck, Jim Fletcher Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: ploverrover Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.westvirginia.counties.jackson/6634.4/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Ms. Grace, let's just get the cow in the kickers here....I may be off, but I found some info. Using WV Div of Culture and History I found a death certificate for John Adam Furget who died in Mason Co. Cologne district on 24 July 1927. Informant was Julian Furget of Millwood. Undertaker was Mr. Bush of Millwood. Cert. says burial was in Mt. Hebron, Mt. Alto. Certificate says he was born in PA and that his Father was born in Germany. Rootsweb has a bit on this gentleman ( John ).Says he was born in Germany 6 Sep 1850. Wife differs here however; has a Rosa V. Thornton of Millwood, WV. Says she is descended from the Dursts, Roushes, and Sayres so she's got to be a good woman even if she is the wrong woman. Well anyway, we may not be in the exact stall, but given those names we may be in the right barn. Hope this may be of some help to get us another lead. 2. Could someone please check and see if they can find a death record for Walter or Robert Franklin Dennis. Some time before the death of my Gr. Mother, Frankie May Dennis was born May 16, 1888 or 1890. She never knew for sure when she was born. He is reportedly buried at Muses Bottom, WVA. Somewhere in that 9 month range of those two years he surely should be. Thanking you. Judith Wrinkle ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com

Mary Eva (Sayre) Beckwith and husband Glen E. Beckwith, are buried in Blain Manorial at Cottageville. They are my grandparents. Yes, P. P. Sayre and his first wife are buried at Antioch. (My Great Grandparents.) My mother was one of the Beckwith girls from out Cow Run way. I have the Sayre Book, and know that family history. I have the book on the Beckwith's, know that family history. I'm searching for John and Mary Furget of Bavaria, and their children that lived near Cow Run on the edge of the two county lines, Mason and Jackson. Sarah Margaret (Furget) that married Peter P. Sayre is the ony one I have in my records. I tried looking at Mason County records and they don't seem to be there either. Soooo, I'm now at a loss as what happened to Sarah Margery brother's, the Furget boy's? Many thanks for trying to help. ..........ms. grace Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
