My grandfather was Lawrence White. His grandfather, Isaiah Unrue, and Goldie's grandfather, John Unrue, were brothers. They lived in Jackson County. Their parents were Henry Unrue and Eliza VanDine.

Hays. He became a minister for the Methodist church in 1886. He served at churches in both Jackson and Kanawha Counties, giving his last sermon the Sunday before he died in Jackson County.

John was the son of John Greathouse Sr. and Sarah McDade. The 1850 Virginia census shows them to be living adjacent to his father in Wirt County which later became Roane County, WV. The census shows her name spelled Feba.
