Known child of Marseen Davis and (1.)Mahala(Mary) Maise: Romanza Davis b. 1868, WV Known children of Marseen Davis and (2.)Florence Maise: Strawder(?) Davis b. 1874, WV Cora Davis b. 1879, WV * Could also have a daughter Marcena Davis b. 1881, Jackson Co.,WV, married Robert Aliva Jones 18 Oct 1903, Jackson County, WV Marseen Davis' first name has appeared as Marsine and Marcean. If Mr Freeman died in Jackson County and the services were held at a local funeral home, it must have been at the old Vail Funeral Home. I believe that the other three funeral homes in Jackson County have either posted all of their obituaries or emailed the obituaries to me to post for them since January 1998. These include Casto Funeral Homes, Parsons/Waybright Funeral Home and Roush Funeral Home. All of these obituaries can be seen on the Obits Board of the Jackson County WVGenWeb page. You can search by surname but you need to use the drop down box under "Period" and select "several eons" to search all postings back to 1998. The Mr. Freeman in question does not appear in the search that I just performed but that surname does appear in several different obituaries.
Hello, I have a BREWER - STEWART connection in Jackson Co., WV. I do not have much information to share, however. James Stewart appears in the 1880 Census for Ravenwood Dist., Jackson Co., WV. He is enumerated with his cousin, John Brewer, and family. The 1880 Census (Ravenwood Dist., Jackson Co., WV) indicates that James Stewert was (born about 1832) 48 y.o., born in WV, divorced, and that his that his father was also born in WV. That's the only STEWART I have in Jackson Co., WV. Lynne

Freeman born in 1928. His place of birth was Washington, D.C. When he was in his early 20's, he lived in the San Francisco area and was married to Paulina Klotzbeacher. They had a daughter named Renee L. Freeman. The couple divorced in when Henry was in his late twenties. His family was from England and/or France. I believe he died in 1998 and one of his last residences was in the town of Ripley, West Virginia (in Jackson County). Any information would help. Thank You.
