Robin, John Fisher b.c. 1784 in Philadelphia, PA died 1/19/1866 in Kanawha County, WV. He drowned in Two Mile Creek. He married Lucretia Harrison about 1812 in Kanawha County, WV. John's death occurred by drowning in the Two Mile Creek below Charleston at the edge of the ford above the Turnpike Bridge. When he was found he laid on his back his head scarcely submerged in the shallow water, his feet upon the bank. There was a coroner's inquest that resulted in the following: Verdict of the coroner's jury that said John Fisher Sr. came to his death by accidental drowning in Two Mile Creek on the 19th of January, 1866. #################################################### John Fisher's Will: Kan. WV Vol. 2-150 In the name of God, Amen I John Fisher of Kanawha County, State of Virginia, being of sound and disposing mind and body, to make this to be my last Will and Testament as follows: I direct that all my just debts by paid out of my estate, as soon after my decease as may be convenient. First I bequeath to my five daughters, to wit Rebecca Miller, Mary Ann Fisher, Rachel Hall, Lucinda Carney, and America Milam all my money, bonds and accounts, to be equally divided between them, except Two Hundred and Fifty dollars, which I give and bequeath to the three children of Leathy Fisher deceased, which said sum I desire my Executor herein after named, to collect immediately after my death, and place the same out at interest in the hands of good and responsible persons, and as the said three children respectively arrive at the age of twenty one years, his or their proportion, is to be collected and paid over to him or them. And I do hereby nominate and appoint Joseph Miller Sr. to be my Executor, of this my last Will and Testament. And I do hereby revoke and make void all former and other Wills by me at any time or times heretofore made, and do hereby declare these presents to be contain my last Will and Testament. Who after being duly sworn by me, declared that the said John Fisher, acknowledged the same as and for his last Will and Testament and that he made his mark thereto, in their presence and in the presence of each other, and that they and ? of them then and there signed their names as witness thereto in his presence and at his request. That they believed at the time of doing so he was of sound mind and disposing memory: and thereupon came Joseph Miller the executor named in said Will, who made oath thereto, and took the oath prescribed in the act passed 16th Nov. 1863 prescribed for offices and together with Alexander Wallace Jr. and his security, entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of $1,500.00 intended for his faithful execution of the said will as required by law. ################################################### Hope this helps. Looking for information on the parents of one William Miller (Possibly William H Miller) THe one Im looking for is the confirmed son of Henry and Catherine (Gilpin) Miller. My Great-grandfather, Harris Hezekiah Bosworth married Julia Ann Golden in Jackson Co., WV on 02 OCT 1886. I do not know exactly how many children they had, but I do know they had my grandmother Helen / Ella Blanch(e) Bosworth on 20 Sept. 1895 in Ripley, Jackson Co., WV. My grandmother always went by the name "Blanche". She had one brother that I know of and his name was Clyde Bosworth, although I do not know his date of birth.
