Newton Poling Bennett was the son of Isaiah and Catherine Bennett. Newton H. was a grandson. My Newton P. Bennett . I was looking for a connection between the two. Newton P. Bennett was married to Amelia Dopp. They had one daughter, Ettie Dale Bennett (Dopp). Before Ettie was born Newton left and moved to Kansas. Amelia had to go to work and she was afraid Newton might come back and try to take Ettie so she let her mom and dad have her (thus the last name Dopp) until she remarried in 1890.
