Boggs. that site says they were married july 9, 1872 in mason co. wv, a bordering county. both sites list the same children, so i think we've got the same folks. if you've already found the following , sorry, but just in case....the 1880 census shows them living in union district, jackson co., wv and James appears to have passed away in 1902. .

    2. Hi Betty, Saw your post, was curious on the Cain's and Cox's. I have a Clarissa Jane Cain, born in Ohio and was a midwife in the Gay, WV area. At least that is where she delivered my mother. My Cox's are William Purnell Cox, can not find much about him. His family - Sarah Jane Myers and children were all in Marion County when he died in 1900. His son my g.grandfather was John Milton Cox, they lived in Marion County for a short time and moved on to Gay, WV. His wife was Elizabeth Melvina Harmon, their son, my grandfather Charles Pernal Cox was born in Gay. Any matches?
