William was born about 1791 or 1797 in Virginia. His father came from Ireland and was stowed away on a ship. It could be old Mr. Flinn at Flinn's Station or one of his sons. My Grand Father William Flinn was born in Virginia and sold as an indentured slave. He married the owners daughter "Annie Hutchinson" and they went to Tennessee. They settled near Gainsville in a place they named "Flinn Lick". He had 4 sons, Andrew, James W., George W. and Hiram Jackson. Hiram Jackson is my Grand Father. They all moved to Hardin County, Illinois in 1854. They are buried in Hardin County, Illinois. Any info about William Flinn's father and brothers would be appreciated. Jim Flynn 8593 N. She had four brothers, James "Jim" the oldest married Mary Morgan and they moved to Texas where they lived the rest of their lives. William, "Bill" married Kate Knightep, and they lived mostly in WV. They lived in Huntington, WV where he met with a tragic death, having been mistaken for someone else he was killed on his way home from work. The youngest Jessee fell on a knife and killed himself while just a child. Nellie had 3 sisters, Mary who married Jim Morgan, Hannah Eveline maried to Fred McCullough and Martha, "Mattie" married to Arnold Harper of huntington.
Chelsea, What is the name of the book that you got this info from? I have been going to write to you, didn't find much on Daniel while in Salt Lake, but do have a couple of deeds for land that he and Charity bought. I did find out that Daniel applied for and received a pension for his service in the CW, Charity also received a CW pension as his widow. Have to get records from National Archives, they didn't have copies at the FHL. Have sent for them, takes 3 months or more sometimes but will share the info that I get.
