    3. So so true, genealogy is not free money wise but its free for us to put it on line to help others. Your summer is going great, sounds wonderful. I can't begin to imagine how life would be with the grandkids. Next week my ex flies in from CA and I will not want to get in the way with his visit so I will be miserable with out my darlings. What a wonderful job we have as gram's, as my 7 year old now wants to call me. So funny. Take care and we all do appreciate your wonderful help. It's such a pleasure to work with people like you. We're having a great time! We went to San Diego last week - hit the beach, the Mission Bay park for playground and picnic, Zoo, lighthouse, and a 2 hour harbor cruise - and Phillip managed to not fall overboard!!! :) Since when is genealogy free???????? Lor-dee, do you know how much money I spend on it??? ;-) And it's worth every penny. I'm just glad that someone else can benefit from what I have and what I find. I'd hate to have it all die with me. I work with some wonderful researchers, including JoAnn, on our common families. Some days it doesn't leave me any time to do any of 'my' research. 3. Robin, all I can say is 'Yikes!' You're right - crossed is probably a very polite word for what I have. I have the wrong John married to the right Mary for the one child I have but the right John (father) for the other child! I can't seem to find John and Mary (Snyder) in 1880, so I have only 5 of their 13 children. . . and poor Albert who belongs to the other John and Mary. Have you found John's parents in any of the censuses? I think I found him and his brother William in 1860. You say you know where the 2 Johns are buried - are there no stones with the death info? I like a good hunt, but this is definitely a doozy! Maybe a don't-zee! 1. Oh boy this one's a doozy
    2. Robin Pyatt Bellamy
    3. Ok bear with me for a moment... There were two John Pyatt's in Jackson County in the 1800's. Both lived in or near Cuba and both were married to women named Mary. Both Johns and one Mary are buried out Trace Fork. (Betty B--this is in reference to family # F5408 in your WV Pioneers database You have them crossed -- as do many others!!!) Family 1- John Piatt Born Monroe Co, Ohio 1842 died 1896 or 1897 in Jackson County WV Mary Truax Piatt Born Ohio--I have some information on this family if anyone is interested Family 2- John Pyatt Born Nicholas County VA 1840 Mary Snider Pyatt born 1845 Jackson County Va--have lots on this family as it's my line. John of Ohio and Mary of VA are buried near each other in the Mount Hope Cemetery on Trace Fork. John of Virginia is buried away from those two and has no stone. In government documents the name Pyatt could be spelled about 12 different ways--or even a Pratt or Peet. Once I even saw Peepyat! Mary Truax Piatt is buried in Monroe Co, OH So what I need to find is a death date (and ultimately a death certificate--wishful thinking) for the John Pyatt who was born in Nicholas County. Of further interest is that between these two men they fathered 25 children--and each of them had a Sarah. If there is any kind soul who could find me death information on John who was born in Nicholas County I would certainly appreciate it. Robin Pyatt Bellamy transplanted to Canada....
