The main William J. Hawkins was born about 1843 in Wetzel County, Wv. but lived in Mason county... I'm thinking he died about 1898-1903 when his 2nd wife Nancy J. Hill Hawkins remarried....

Not finding the record here or in Mason County does not mean that his death did not occur in either of the counties, it only means that no one bothered to report it to the county clerk. I am looking for the parents and siblings of an Austin Francis Conley. Born abt. 9-7-1879 in WV. He died on 1-14-1928 in Electra, Texas. It appears that he married Minnie Cox Morris and moved to Texas abt. 1922. Have not been able to verify this. He is my uncle and I have been searching for census, marriage, and birth records for this family. The obituary does say he has a son David and a brother Walter living in Parksburg, VA, but it does not mention his wives name. It appears to me that this may be Parkersburg, WV. Anyone researching this family. Pat

M. Ich (?). The witnesses were Mr. Daugherty and Mr. Rhuel. Marion was born in Wirt County, West Virginia. Flora Dovie was born May 6, 1881 - possibly in Wirt County, West Virginia.
