    3. I'm looking for any info. on my maternal grandfather Leonard MAYLE, his siblings, his father Rev. Abraham Clinton MA(Y)LE and wife Ary Jane ADAMS MA(Y)LE. My grandfather Leonard was born in Cuba, Jackson Co., WV...a town/settlement I understand no longer exists. The family later moved nearby to in/around Belpre, Washington Co., Ohio. Roane County Marriages Wes Cochran Beverlin, Granville W, 22, Marion; Wirt Rohrbough, Permelia E, 21, Barbour, Roane William & Virginia Adam & Phebe 5 Apr 1863 I'm guessing his mother was Virginia Jane. Marion Co was formed in 1842 from Harrison and Monongalia, so he was probably born in the part that became Marion Co. Barbour Co was formed in 1843 from Harrison, Lewis and Randolph, so ditto for her. . Betty

    2. Thanks Debi, I noticed that your maiden name is Casto. We have Casto in our COX line. A Nathan Casto directed us and walked with us to some WV cemeteries last summer. Lived somewhere near Ravenswood, I forget the route, a dirt road, I believe. A beautiful house though. Do you have any William Cox or John Cox relatives? Pat

He mustered in 10/26/1861 and mustered out 11/9/1864 (Jackson County). Info is also listed that "right leg shot off" Hope this helps. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/WCC.2ACE/4260.2 Message Board Post: the wv cemetary preservation assoc. lists this cemetery {rardin} at 38.9906 N. and 81.7312 W. this would put it around three miles east of sherman , wv on little sandy creek road. sherman is about 3 miles north of ravenswood , wv on route 68. it is 5 or 6 miles south of the milhoan ridge area which Les mentioned. i've been working the jackson co. info pretty hard the last couple of years so i'd be glad to try and find some family info for you. by the way, les shockey is the guru who did a tremendous amount of work on the jackson co. site. if he doesn't know 'em, they ain't dead.
