    3. Thanks Betty, for resurecting this! I will see if I can straighten it a bit for you. Buried at Trace Fork is John Pyatt b 1842 in Monroe Co, OH His parents were Jacob and Elisabeth (Allen) Piatt of the Woodsfield, OH Piatts He married Mary Truax b 1843 Oh, daughter of Isaac and Rebecca (Whitlatch) Truax. This Mary is buried in Monroe Co. OH Their children: Jacob b 1866 OH Sarah b 1868 OH Hannah b 1869 OH married Samuel Conger Simon b 1872 OH Lucinda b 1874 WV married a Barns Rebecca b 1877WV married John W Allen, 5 chidren Lorenzo b 1879 WV Albert b 1881 WV married Charolotte Truax, 9 children Viola b 1883 Charles b 1885 Unk daughter married Richard Campbell Bessie married a Briggs John S Pyatt is buried on Trace Fork, but not at the Mount Hope Cemetery where his wife is. John S Pyatt b 1840 in Nicholas County. HIs parents were (legally) William Pyatt and Mary Smith. DNA of this family shows that John S did not have a Pyatt father, and we are not sure of his parentage. Willam's father has not been found yet, but we do know that Mary Smith was his second wife. William Pyatt of Jackson and Mason Counties was John's brother as was George Peyatt of Jackson and Putnam Counties. Father William died in 1850 and was at least 60 years old. John, William, and George all married women by the last name of Snyder, children of Thomas and Elizabeth (Buttler) Snyder of Jackson and Mason Counties in WV. Mrs. John S Pyatt, Mary Snyder, is buried at Mount Hope. Children of John S and Mary : Sarah b 1865 married Ephriam Parsons Emmazetta b 1867 married Jonas Richards Anna Louisianna b 1869 married George Snyder Louisa J b 1871 Edward William b 1873 married Amy Harriet Throckmorton Nathan Alexander b 1875 married Fannie Morgan Rhoda Lee b 1877 Maggie M b 1878 Margaret b 1879 married Ezra Taylor Roxie b 1880 married George Collins and a Schwartz Nora Etta b 1882 married Jesse Morgan Mettie Bell b 1883 married Frank Lawlor John Francis "Grover" b 1885 married Georgia Parrish Edward William fathered Carl Edward, who had Ernest Edward who had Robert Lee Pyatt who is my father. Clear as mud, right? I have tons more if anyone is interested. see also www.piattresearchers.net Robin -------Original Message------- From: Betty Briggs Date: 09/20/05 19:35:49 To: Robin Pyatt Bellamy Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: [WVJackson] Oh boy this one's a doozy Robin, all I can say is 'Yikes!' You're right - crossed is probably a very polite word for what I have. I have the wrong John married to the right Mary for the one child I have but the right John (father) for the other child! I can't seem to find John and Mary (Snyder) in 1880, so I have only 5 of their 13 children. . . and poor Albert who belongs to the other John and Mary. Have you found John's parents in any of the censuses? I think I found him and his brother William in 1860. You say you know where the 2 Johns are buried - are there no stones with the death info? I like a good hunt, but this is definitely a doozy! Maybe a don't-zee!
