Matilda Loof, d/o Jacob and Mary Davis, married a Jeptha Davis. Do you have any idea who he was? He might have been an Ohio guy rather than one of the Salem group. Thanks so much, Mariana >> Mariana, This group, as a whole, is difficult, so no, Jeptha is not an Ohio guy. He was the son of James and Elizabeth Davis. They were married in Harrison in 1795 and had 7 children, Jeptra, number 4, being born in 1802. I was working on this last night and realized that Sarah Hoffman and Abigail Hoffman are sisters....but....Abigail married Jesse Maxson Davis, s/o Prudence Maxson and Jacob Davis Jr. When Prudence died; Sarah Hoffman married Jacob Davis Jr., then she was Abigail's sister and mother-in-law. This has happened many times when researching this far back. If you need any help, let me know. ;o) wanda
