Paul, According to the Harrison Co marriage book, Hiram Laughery married Eliza Plant Feb 5 1827 in Harrison Co by Rev A C Holden. (source: Edited and Arranged by Earle H Morris, Marriage Records, Harrison Co., Virginia-(West) Virginia 1784-1850, Page 151.) In the 1850 Census, Hiram's wife is listed as age 37 which would make her birth year abt 1813 and in 1827 when she married, she would have only been abt 14; too young for a second marriage. Could you please give me the source for Hiram's marriage to Elizabeth McGary? I'm a tad confused right now. On the Harrison co. genweb page there is a biography of Daniel Carson Louchery. I believe he is related to my Patrick Loughry (the name has been spelled a variety of ways). Does anyone know how Daniel was related to Patrick. Patrick had a brother named Daniel who married a Mary Wickam in Winchester VA in 1790, but the Daniel from the Harrison county page is not that Daniel. Does anyone know of the connection?
