I am new to your list and am searching for information on PETER AND PHOEBE ( ?) SMITH. I found them on the marriage record of their son Martin J. Smith to Margaret Talbott in Lewis Co. on April 20, 1841. Martin was born about 1816. Dorothea/Dorothy/Dolly Smith could also be a daughter but have not been able to make a solid connection. I found a Peter Smith and Phoebe Them marriage record in the Harrison Co. courthouse for October 4, 1813 but don't know if this is my Peter. We descend from Peter and Phoebe Smith to their son Martin J. Smith and Margaret (Talbott) Smith to their oldest child Ellis Lee Smith who was born in Lewis Co. in 1843 and married Matilda Frances Hudson on August 1, 1865. Any help much appreciated.
