Lyle, I just saw your note about the Middleville Cemetery, and noticed your comment that the Pattons were your Ancestors. They are also my Ancestors, as Robert Patton, Jr., s/o Robert Patton & Helen Douglas; married Ann Clifton "Nancy" Reeder, d/o Benjamin Franklin Reeder & Eleanor Clifton Slaughter on Sept. 2, 1805 in Alexandria, VA. Ann Clifton "Nancy" Reeder is the sister of my 3rd gr-grandfather, Thomas S. Reeder who married Eliza S. Shinn, d/o the famous Rev. Asa Shinn. I have separate files on the Patton, Clifton and Slaughter families and would love to compare information with you. My husband & I are coming to Shinnston on Thursday, there is an old Reeder cemetery there I would like to find; and I also want to see if any of the stonework for the old bridge is still there. My gr-grandfather, William Delbridge did the stonework for the bridge about 1875/76; and it was destroyed in 1888 by a flood. If you are interested in comparing any information, please contact me.
